Season 55 Objectives
1 - try get one extra cup game (done - got 2 if memory serves)
2 - improve top-11 / top-17 of squad (done)
Overall a decent first season back, promoted which wasnt really expected at the start of the season. Could have likey gone up in the auto places but was trying to play for a better bosman as the title was well out of the question. Nice to beat Brechin due to the real life teams being in the Highland League and Brechin being a bit too big for the boots. We managed to train and sell a couple of players which boosted the coffers nicely, full CP / TP purchase and cash left over is a decent place to be.
Promotion again isnt likey outwith the realms of possibility, some amount of good sides / gaffers in Division 2 so going to have to earn promotion this season. At least we dont have to train up a keeper at the moment, in good shape for contending at least. Trading wise I was feeling left out after the initial rush and seen the opportunity to switch the 4/19 MF for 4/19 DF so took that one, hoping to move on the 1/12 MA bosman but only for the right price.
Season 56 Objectives:
1) Get further in the CECIL cup, early exit isnt beneficial.
2) Be there or there abouts for promotion, need the division 1 gravy train.
Season 55 Update:
A big rebuild for the returning
Been a while, squad isnt in the worst shape, need a bit of work to get into my preferred shape and that will require some wheeling and dealing. Managed to get 2 deals over the line already, another in the pipeline and the first apprentice through the door. Swapping out our 2/21 MF for the 3/26 MF and then 3/23 FW for a 4/26 FW aged the squad a bit more but also improved it. The 0/8 DF will bring a lot of quality to the squad for a few seasons, the 0/5 FW wont be with us for long but will help with long term improvements.

Real-life Nairn County F.C. are a senior football club who currently play in the Highland Football League.
They were founded in 1914 and play at Station Park, Nairn. To avoid any confusion the below is actually Mosset Park Forres, Nairn in the black the away team that day. I played (badly) a few times on this park many, many years ago prior to my knee not fancying carrying my weight anymore.
The team colours are yellow and black and go by the nickname of the Wee County.
Nairn County were reformed in 1914 and joined the Highland League in 1919. Their only league title was in the 1975–76 season, which they won after a play-off in extra time against Fraserburgh at Borough Briggs, Elgin.
Season 56:
Not much has changed since the last update, its been winter here which means going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. Thats about 40% true as I work from home 3 days a week. Still its been a long windy winter both from the storms and having 2 young males in the house, honestly house stinks of fart. Got out golfing last week for the 1st time since October so looking forward to more of that. Will be grafting out in the garden again in the coming weeks / months, clocks will be going forward soon enough to bring back the light nights.
Football wise, still enjoying Ange Ball. Been to watch the real Nairn County a couple of times this season but both times theyve lost so feeling like a bad omen as theyve been fairly decent this season. Scotland in a major finals this summer as well which is magical, best I'll be doing is watching from the house. Vowed never to go back to a Scotland game after heading down to Hampden in the Craig Levein era as we scraped a 95th minute win over Liechtenstien.

Older, Fatter and none the wiser. Born in Nairn but probably technically an Aberdonian now as I've lived here more than half my life. Married for a couple of years now, life is the children and the dog. Play golf occasionally and starting to enjoy football again - Ange Ball. Enjoy pottering about in the garden as well, dabble in fruit and veg and had some winners at a local garden show.
