    About Dundee FC

    DEEs and Dat

The hard truths about our beloved football squad (since 2024)

    Season 58

OH MY GOD - Dundee is STILL in Div 1.
And the guy is still not sacked!

In an absurd combination of luck and even more luck, the DEEs jumped out of the relegation zone on the very last weekend.
We genuinely feel the Rangers', Aberdeens' and Albion's pain.

We are NOT looking forward to 30 relegation battles ahead, with
    - less than 600k cash
    - just 19 players
    - an almost geriatric squad
    - and still the most incompetent coach.

    So just
    Sack this guy.

    Season 57

OH MY GOD - Dundee is in Div 1.
Now usually, we would be all too glad about it, but the DEEs have

    • about the smallest roster in the league, so are seriously prone to injuries; just as we've mentioned last season already
    • no serious GK: our Bulgarian fly catcher is even rumoured to be the no 1 keeper, a disaster in the making; just as we've mentioned last season already
    • the most incompetent coach; just as we've mentioned last season already, quite regularly!

Whoever thought that promotion with THIS squad is a good idea!?
We can only think of one guy!

At least the plus side is that after the (next to inevitable) relegation to div 2, we can really
    Sack this guy.

    Season 56

Surprising new signing on the manager seat. No proven competences, must be skilled at Powerpoint?

Resulting in low expectations: maybe surviving div 2, maybe even win a cup round or two, maybe.

Fans are already looking for another club to support. Dundee Utd looks quite attractive.

    S58:

Each season flies in SESL, so not much news on the personal side.
Just some notes on my supported club, the moderately succesful Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Sadly, my 1st match visited was a glorious F95 win over Bayern - too bad there weren't many repeat performances since.
Last season they missed the Bundesliga promotion in the most silly way ever: losing in pks - after winning the 1st away leg 3-0.
Currently they are one of the 2nd div also runs, having an almost equal shot at promotion and relegation.
At least you can say, it's an "interesting" season.

    S57:

Good news to div 1: one serious opponent less

DEE's promotion was planned for, but turned out an unexpectedly wild ride.
But it's the end result that matters.

I have some long term ideas and plans, but next season is still "transitional".
Just ask the 'DEEs and Dat' guy for the reasons: He knows.

Otherwise, 4 months older, not quite as young (and hairy) as my picture suggests, and still a numbers and computer geek.

So please show some mercy to the (still) new guy ;-)

    S56:

Good news to div 2: one serious opponent less.

    Your new victim presented ...

Born and raised around Düsseldorf / Germany.
Graduated in CS and subsequently made some money from computers in several ways, currently mostly by consulting.
Initiated way too long ago with German style United games, I've pretty soon moved on to mainly EEFL style leagues - and some long PBEM hiatus after.
I've recently joined Al Sellers' MSWL league with moderate suceess. Means: I lose too often for my taste, but probably for some reason.
Mark invited me to add some cannon fodder - so here I am with next to no clue.
So please show some mercy to the new guy ;-)
