Season 59 Update.
2nd top 3 finish in a row
Last season Fraserburgh finished 3rd in the league. Fraserburgh were in truth never in the running for a league win with the top 2 well out of sight long before the end of the league.Nontheless top 3 finishes in division 1 are not to be taken for granted.
My team top 11 SL average is still languishing in 11th place and this is an ongoing problem that I need to overcome to become 1st division champions. Even though I seem to be able to outperform My SL numbers in gameplay better players on the pitch is essential to getting Fraserburgh to a league championship.
Whilst it would be amazing to finally win the league ,Im affraid Ill really battle to get anywhere near the top 3 this season..
I still have not won any silverware with Fraserburgh so that needs to be rectified in the near future for me to feel like a succesful manager. Fraserburgh are starting to be seen as a serious and consistent first division team, which is I suppose some consolation to the trophy draught.
But in the meantime I am really enjoying playind SESL which is the main reason why I play.
The club were formed in 1910 and play at Bellslea Park. Prior to 1910, they played as a select side made up of the best players from the local amateur league. The club's colours (consisting of black and white stripes) were acquired from a local fish merchant who had links with Newcastle United, and the tradition has since been kept, with the current away kit consisting of a sky blue shirt, white shorts and sky blue socks Fraserburgh's first ever match was an away tie in the Scottish Qualifying Cupagainst rivals Peterhead, which Fraserburgh won 3–1. In their very first season they went on to win the Aberdeenshire Cup, defeating Buckie Thistleat Pittodrie Stadium.
Season 59 I am 58 years old.I have grown up and lived in South Africa all of my life. As the SESL seasons follow pretty quickly on each other not much changes in ones personal life .However in the world of EPL the change between seasons has been excelent As a lifelong Liverpool fan this season was tremendous with Arno Slot in his first season as manager getting us back on our perch by winning the premier league and getting us back to a joint top 20 titles of the English highest division. Next month South Africa have qualified for the world test cricket championship at Lords,so my two brothers and I are taking my father to watch the first 3 days. We probably have no chance against Australia ,but it should still be a great experience. I studied law at University in Johannesburg, but currently import watches ,glasses frames and Corporate gifts into South Africa. I have always worked in the same business which I started whilst still in University and as it has always looked after me I have a lot to be greatful for. As South Africans our best sport is Rugby having won 4 of the last 8 world cups. We also had a great season in 2024 ending as easily the top rated team in the world. We made the last cricket T20 final, but as yet have never won a cricket world cup. Our soccer team has been pathetic for years, but we did make the last 4 of the african cup of nations last season which is our best performance in a long time. Despite being a Liverpool fan, I also have a soft spot for Barcelona in La Liga, which is also great at the moment as they are playing some very entertaining soccer and have also just won La Liga. I have played online games for many years and really enjoy them. I play MSWL united and had a good run in the old MSWL .SESL is the only Olmec game I play at the moment. Besides these leagues I am also a big fan of the soccer prediction games like Fantasy football and Superbru. I thus run a mini prediction league on the message board in SESL. I had a brilliant run in Fantasy football 2 years ago finishing in the top 1000 out of 9 million so I also won several of my mini leagues as well. My kids also enjoy fantasy so it is a great family bonding activity. As you can imagine a lot of pressure to majke sure I beat them every year. I enjoy movies and series on TV, My favourite director is Quentin Tarintino. I have 3 children Alexia(24),Mischa(20) and Ethan (18) . Alex studied film and is currently working as a graphic designer and moonlighting with editing ,whilst Mischa is studying sound engineering this year. Ethan is in his last year at school. He plays goalie in the school team. It feels weird that all 3 of my kids are almost adults. My kids and I have a lot in common which is very fortunate as it makes family time great.I still have a very good relationship with my ex which is important as we do have the 3 kids together. I took Alex with on 1 of my trips to Europe last year which she really enjoyed and was a great bonding time for us. For recreation I play bridge, read, and hang out with friends and my kids. For exercise I tend to run in the mornings. |
