CLY are rivals to 1 teams.
Manage age and fatigue with an aging squad. Oldies for youth key. Develop youth.

Season 59:
Table table season 58- semi final of the cup. Not a bad season for newly appointed Legowski. Season 59 looks like a season of rebuild. An aging squad (retro and experienced I'd call it) but strong in key positions with Sommer, Bastoni, McKenna and last season POTS Ian McCall expected to be the match winners. Youth will need to be developed with oldie/youth trade model key.
Mid-table the aim.
Season 57 review and preview Season 58:
Champions! Congratulations to Raymond who took this CLY team and delivered their first ever Division 1 title. What a rise from the depths of Dv 3 to champions!
CLY need to build on this win. Good strong core of a team, develop a back-up GK and youth strategy to remain competitive in this league. Key players include Sommer (GK), McKenna (DF), Butcher (DF), Bastoni (DF), Roberts (DM), Gilmour (MF), Arnautovic (FW) and McCall (FW) support by youth prospects McTominay (MF) and Redfern (WG). Resources and cash available after a successful Season 57 league win.
Season 55 update
We did it!
After trolling around in the depths of Division III for what seemed like an eternity, CLY were back in Div 1 for season 54.
6th place finish and then won via playoffs. then 3rd in Div 2.
Mid table was he plan for season 54 but CLY came 5th.
Then going to push onwards and upwards in the top division.
30 SEASONS since CLY were last in Div 1.
Gulp.
Season 55 needs to see some credible progress in the Cups though.

Season 49 update
We did it! After trolling around in the depths of Division III for what seemed like an eternity, we have slipped the surly bonds that tethered us to that grouping and soared to the heights of Division II. How long can Clyde FC remain in the mid-major? "We are still shocked a the opportunity," said Coach Mac. "One minute we are ordering socks for next year's kits, and the next think you know we are 'possibly' a contender for the playoff match. Then the next thing you know we are a favorite for the promotion playoff. Then the next thing you know we are in that match, and then the next thing you know....well, you know."
Clyde FC has had a long, sad history in Division III,
with finishes of 15, 12, 13, 12, 10, 12, 9, 8, 16, 10, 11, 10, and 16 going back through the past 13 seasons most recent to distant.
So, last season was next to last in Division III, and a dead last wooden spoon was awarded in seasons 35 and 39. In our last appearance in Division II, we finished 15th during season 34. It's good to be back. Perhaps we will have more positive news to fill this space in season 50.
Season 59:
CLY rekindled my love for this game (and SFLSL)- all good in my world. Work and family good. Joined an 11's team that supports mental health and wellbeing, as well as helping individuals get fitter. Loving playing competitive 11s again. FM delayed then cancelled so waiting on the last info from the makers.
Season 58:
CLY wecome experienced SESL manager Marc Legowski.
Primary employment wise all going well, moved into a new role in October 2024, closer to home, less time travelling, more time with family. Family all good. I am continuing to improve health and fitness. Continuing to patiently waiting for the new look, new interfaced FM2025 to be released....Roll on March 2025!
New for season 56:
coach Raymond Cini
From Malta, and live on island of Malta which is south of Italy.
Been playing online football manager games for over 25 years.
I created 2 games myself:
"Weekend Predictions EU" &
"fantasy-league-50-goals.mozello.com"

Season 55 Update
David lives in Glasgow with girlfriend of eight years.
SESL experience previously at HAM for 5 seasons (S19-23). PT (S50-51). DFA (S52)
My name's David, obviously, I'm 53, look 35, act about 13.
I'm one of quite a number of managers here from the UK. I still don't know who's from where tbh, I really need to go check the other Bios of my manager colleagues.
I live in Glasgow with my GF who moved in with me late November 2020. She'd basically been staying here since March 20 when covid hit and we still hadn't shed any blood by September so we decided it was safe to live together.
We've had one year of normal life getting to know each other 2019 BC - Before Covid - then the trial by fire of 15 months of covid lockdown.
Both of us looking forward to actually getting out and about and doing the family/social/pubs/clubs part of being a couple.
For those that know Glasgow and who know me, this means actually going to Rufus, Solid Rock and The Cathouse. <-Rock venues of variable quality.
If she survives those then she's a keeper.
Not a goal keeper.

Season 49 Update
Phil is one of the longest tenured managers in SESL, having captained Clyde FC for well over two decades. He is the only manager Clyde FC has ever known.
Phil spends many evenings and Saturday afternoons coaching his daughter in soccer as well as softball. Her teams continue to win gold medals at an amazing rate, but Phil is quick to credit the kids and not the coaches. In June 2021, the girls agressively won gold at the Missouri Show-Me State games, earning a hard fought draw against the prior perennial gold medal winners in group play and then upending that same team in the finals. The girls also repeated as their regional conference champions with an amazing unbeaten streak that dates back to last year. On the softball field, he girls just completed an undefeated run to claim the top prize there. Phil likes coaching.
Phil enjoys hiking mountain trails and canyons in America's West. His favorite park is Grand Canyon National Park, and encourages anyone who goes there to see it from the bottom looking up rather than only seeing if from the rim. If possible, take a raft trip down the Colorado River to get the full experience. The best rapid is Lava Falls. Hike Havasu Creek. Lee's Ferry to Phantom Ranch is a five day float...Phantom Ranch to Lake Mead is nine days. Do yourself a favor and just GO.
Phil also enjoys acting and directing in the local community theatre. Artistic expression is a great release for occupational tension. :-)
