Season 61
S60 Recap: What a terrible season. We underperformed in the league and the cups leaving us with nothing to celebrate except for a starting ticket for the second division. We need to adapt our tactics as it clearly shows that early cross isn't working anymore for us. Won't be easy to do a major overhaul though after focussing on developing wingers for many seasons.

We said goodbye to Gab Riella and welcomed the younger and better skilled Zimbabwan Farai Musasike to our roster and appointent long serving winger Gabriel Batistuta as captain for the season to come. As one of the most experienced teams in the 2nd division we need to seriously focus on bringing in some youth to not get blown away after MSA. Our chances before the mid season ageing are decent and we should be able to secure a spot in the middle. No bounce back to div. 1 expectations at this point. Stay put on set ourselves up for a more durable visit to the top flight.

The real Deveronvale were formed in 1938 and their first league campaign only lasted three games into the 1939-40 season before, as their official site says, war stopped play. Currently Deveronvale are in the Highland League, along with Huntly, Nairn County, Buckie Thistle and Fraserburgh and from which there is now possible promotion.
Update Season 61
Ajax is still a mess. We made complete fools of ourselves in the CL, fired the 5th coach in barely 3 season and just welcomed the 3rd DoF in 5 years, son of the legend who changed football; Jordi Cruijff. His first action: fire the u23 headcoach and appoint his Spanish friend to take over. I sincerely hope we are not going to see a Spanish enclave in Amsterdam, but I wouldn't mind having former Barca coach Xavi on the bench next season. Happy to see Zinchenko wearing the Ajax kit. He already proved himself to be a good signing and a solid leader. Hopefully we can secure the 2nd spot and set ourselves up for another debacle in the CL next season, we very much need that cash ;)
