Season 59
S58 Recap: What a season. Totally unexpected. Well, we expected a decent season, but exceeded in almost all possible ways you can imagine. First in the league, quarter final in the SESL Cup and 16th finals in the CECIL Cup. For a random Div.3 side I guess that is pretty decent on steroids? It wasn't easy though. EDI was a great competitor in the league as they pushed us right up until the very last game. We missed out on the overperformer award, despite the fact that we did 4 spots better then predicted. Great cupruns as well. Loads to be proud off!

Not the youngest squad, but still young, not the best, but still good. Double down on Early Cross as we lack midfielders, but I've been Div.1 champs using EC for a full season. It's possible ;) Ran out of inspiration for Spanish Gabri variations, so I switched to African Traore namings. Let's see how far this will take us.
Ok, so, the team is balanced. We lack a big winger and maybe a sub FW, but with carefull planning I think we should be able to aim for a top#6 finish again. Hopefully automatic promotion, but Playoffs will do as well.

The real Deveronvale were formed in 1938 and their first league campaign only lasted three games into the 1939-40 season before, as their official site says, war stopped play. Currently Deveronvale are in the Highland League, along with Huntly, Nairn County, Buckie Thistle and Fraserburgh and from which there is now possible promotion.
Update Season 59
As you all know I'm an Ajax fan. It's been a hard couple of seasons. Even this season, finishing 2nd which NO ONE expected, there's not been much to enjoy for the average fan. Terrible football (catenaggio anno 2024), financial crisis, overpaid but useless players, italian trainer who looks at football as if it's a philosofy issue, in the end forfeit a 9 point lead to a team that should've been champions anyway, throwing the ECL quarter finals to win the competition, and then not win it. 1 day later this 36 y/o philosopher quits his job over a disagreement on how many cooks he can hire. Dear god.
But, the only way is up! Yet, please UK, someone, please someone, take back Hendo.
