A bloody miracle based on the stats we have at the start of this season T11 (15 out of 16) and T17 (16 out of 16)

    About Ayr United

    **Season 59 Update**

    Season 58 Review

    Bloody hell we got promoted.

A tight tussle at the end saw us finish in 4th place on 50 points. 2 points ahead of our Ayrshire rvals - Killie :)

At the end of the season we managed from our 30 league games - 10 Wins - 7 Draws and 13 Losses.  An improvement of 4 extra wins and 5 less losses from S57. We also improved to have a +ve GD at the end of the season with 41 GF and 29 GA for a GD of +12.

One season we will score mid 60's and be even better. But we seem to be able to stop loads going in so that helps.

FW *George Oakley* took over from Roy Syla to be our top scorer with 12 goals.

    Season 59 Preview

So on to our 2nd season since relegation in Division 3.

Our new Bosman is a 1/10 MA - Jay Henderson. We needed the manpower in that position to help out to cover MF and FW.

Transfers - We have also brought in Ewan Loudon 5/20 from BRE in a pre season transfer to bolster the FW line.

    Squad Details

A squad of 19 players with 4 pensioners (Purdie GK 8, Souttar DF 4, Mullin MF 7 and Bryden FW 2) in the squad. I doubt whether they will get 1 min of playing time.

Goalkeepers  - Albinson remains the No.1 and with Purdie out to pasture a new Apprnetice will be brought in and we will have to endure some pain while he is Skilled up.

Defenders  - 3 Age 2 DF's this season (Watret 23), Stanger (23) and McMann (21). A few CP's on those players to keep them in the mid teens. Along with the other more skilled DF's Sanders (22) and Musonda (16)

DM's  -  Still only have the 2 DM's - McHugh (19) and Chalmers (16) and will be utilised mostly in DF but will be used in MF on occassions.

Midfielders - 3 MF's with one as SL 7 (Mullin as mentioned above). So only really Rus (23) and Syla (21) to pick from.

MA's  - Our new Bosman joins in the MA position. Jay Henderson who will be used mostly to cover in MF this season.

WG - Sludden (11) is our only WG as he continues down the path to retirement.

Forwards - Oakley (26) is our main threat and a few of our CP's will be used on him. to keep him in the high 20's. New transfer from BRE Ewan Loudon (20) joins to help bolster and allow Oakley to have a rest. Willock (12) will be use sparingly.

Captain - DM Logan Chalmers (16) hopefully will pick up a couple of bonus points.

    Apprentices

With only the Bosman using our 40 available TP's. We will be looking to bring in 3 new apprentices. Or trade some for a better skilled outfield player. Our first target will be an apprentice GK. I can't see too many teams trading away a GK. Then a DF and a MF.

    Expectations

Promtion to a higher division leaves us battling against much better teams. 113k in cash in the bank as we managed to get 50CP and we have 40TP's to use.

If we can finish in the top 10 it will be a miracle based on the stats below.

    Starting T-11 - 21.0 (15th out of 16)

    Starting T-17 - 16.6 (16th out of 16)
