**Season 62 Update**
Season 61 Review
An improvement with a 9th placed finish over 10th in Season 60. This league finish matched our starting 9th top T11 and well ahead of the 14th T17 stats at the start of the season.
A GD of +2 and having the 2nd best equal Loss record of only 9 losses. Only Celtic who won the league had less losses with 7. Curtis Main continued to be top goal scorer. 10 league goals in Season 60 and that improved to 13 last season. We had a total of 15 unbeaten in Season 60 and last season 21 games unbeaten. 10 wins and 11 draws.
**Season 62 Preview**
Our new Bosman is a 1/14 DM - Nick McAllister. We need to bolster the DF and MF as we are poor in both areas.
Transfers - Nil - no cash left after getting 2 new apprentices signed.
Squad Details
A squad of 20 players with 3 pensioners (Sanders DF 6/5, McHugh 7/2 DM and Oakley 6/7 FW) still in the squad. McHugh will likely get retired.
Goalkeepers - Josh Clarke is No.1 with Max Thompson as backup.
Defenders - 3 decent DF's this season. Holt (23) a host of SL 13 DF's and Bannigan (21) Bosman McAllister (14)
DM's - 3 DM's - Bannigan (21), McHugh (2) and McAllister (14). Pretty much McHugh is there to clean the boots.
Midfielders - 4 MF's - Murphy (25) - Holmgren (19) - Ure (17) - Rus (16)
MA's - Jay Henderson (24) who will be used mostly to cover in MF this season with the odd FW position to rest the attackers.
Forwards - Main (25), Dalglish (20) and Oakley (7). Oakley is there as an emergency.
Captain - FW Kenny Dalglish hopefully will pick up a couple of bonus points.
Apprentices
2 New Apprentices
DF Nicol (5) and FW Shanks (5) join with a view to getting them trained up and main players for Season 63.
Expectations
To get higher than last season's 9th place.
We start with 41CP and 47TP's.
If we can finish in the top 10 it will be a miracle based on the stats below.
Starting T-11 - 22.0 (12th out of 16) down from 22.0 and 9th last season
Starting T-17 - 17.5 (10th out of 16) up from 16.9 and 14th last season
Our overall starting SL is 309 which is 9th out of 16. Up from 296 SL and 14th last season. Starting to go in the right direction albeit very slow.
Season 62 Update
Ex Scotland International Gary Naysmith is the new Ayrs manager after the departure of Scott Brown. The new training facility including an 11 aside astro pitch plus seating is now completed. How Somerset has changed in just a few short years thanks to chairman David Smith.
Still managing KaisAyr, Ayr United's supporters team. We are now in a Over 35's league to keep the team together. The good thing is that the majority of those players have been with us throughout this journey. The season plays from April to October so a summer league. No more horrible Winter and Spring weather to contend with.
I am also still managing Chivas and Carson City Kickers on OASL.
