Season 62
The real-life Cowdenbeath had a respectable 2025–26 campaign. The last time I updated this, they were sitting sixth in an 18-team league before slipping to ninth as the season progressed. In the end, they finished 11th—a long way short of the promotion places, but comfortably clear of any relegation concerns.
For a club still rebuilding after dropping out of the SPFL, it was a season of stability rather than excitement. While there was never a serious promotion challenge, they were never dragged into trouble either, and the campaign represented another small step in the right direction. It also remains one of their more competitive league finishes since relegation from the Scottish league system, giving supporters hope that the foundations are gradually being put in place for a stronger push in the seasons ahead.
SESL
Season 61 ultimately turned out to be a success. We secured promotion—a fantastic achievement and one that exceeded expectations.
That said, the season was tinged with a sense of regret. At the halfway stage we were in a strong position to win the league outright, but a run of some very questionable results—yes, properly dodgy ones—completely stalled our momentum. Promotion is still a brilliant outcome.
So, what are the goals for Season 62? They're refreshingly simple: survive. We've climbed another rung up the ladder, and the priority now is establishing ourselves in the division. If we can comfortably avoid relegation, we'll consider it another successful season. Anything beyond that will be a welcome bonus

Season 62 update
There's little change here. 13.7 handicap (down 0.3 from last update , still coaching daughters team.... They now play 11s in tier 2 which is a great place to be for their age. Girls football here is a 2 year lane and they are in their first year.
Age: 50, just 51 in 6 days.
Hobbies: Golf and football. Golf Handicap 12, 13 and 12 13. bad season, handicap now back to 16 18.3 17.1 and back down to 16.7. 17. 15.8 15.0 15.8 back onto 15.2 14.0 now 13.&!!!! Trending in the right direction now. I'm feeling reasonably positive about my golf game. It's still a work in progress, but it's definitely heading in the right direction. There have also been some significant equipment changes. A new set of irons, wedges and a putter are all bedding in, so it's taking a little time to adjust. There have been encouraging signs, but consistency isn't quite there yet. Overall though, it feels like things are gradually coming together, and I'm optimistic that the hard work will pay off.
