Despite the setback, QOS avoided relegation rather comfortably, finishing with enough of a cushion to remain in Division 2 without drama. The contrast between the solid core (T-17 at 20.6 (start season)) and the thinner squad depth (T-17 at 17.3 (end season)) highlights the challenges of the rebuild.
Looking ahead, the club continues to invest in youth development. With Angus Gunn, new Age-0 signings, and the steady leadership of Patterson, Houliston, and Dunbar, QOS is laying the groundwork for a stronger future. The aim for Season 60: consolidate in Division 2, while nurturing the next generation of key players.
Born and raised in Rotterdam, I'm a proud supporter of the Feyenoord boys and a passionate football enthusiast. Football isn’t my only love—I'm also a drummer, percussionist, and marimba/vibraphone player, as well as a music omnivore, collecting everything from Queen’s Day at the Races to Verdi Highlights. If it’s good, it’s on my Spotify playlist (except house and rap—with rare exceptions like Gangsta’s Paradise).
Since August 2024 I’ve been combining my studies with my hobbies, which include genealogy, cycling, hiking, and of course, managing in the SESL.
In the league I’ve previously managed EST, DEE, KIL, and MOT, and since Season 48 I’ve proudly been in charge of Queen of the South.
