Falkirk opened last weekend's games with a trip to Nairn County. Not a lot happened in the game, other than we conceded two late goals one in each half to lose two nil. We then had leaders Stenhousemuir visit the Falkirk stadium. The match was fairly even but Stenny came for the win so took a few chances playing press. This is when we took the lead and held out for a fabulous victory.
Falkirk qualified for the knockout stages of the SESL cup but left it late. After drawing the first two matches we had bottom team Cove Rangers next. Three nil up by halftime until we conceded late in the second half to make the final score three one. Then we played East Stirlingshire for a chance to qualify. We went one up but let in two second half goals to somehow lose a game we shouldn't have two one. All the pressure on the final match against East Fife needing at least a point. We got very lucky and had McGregor in great form to steal it one nil. We ended up finishing third in the group.
