We started the weekend with a home game against Marc's Partick thistle, a really tough looking side on paper,we opted for a 5-2-3 normal as they went for a 4-3-3 normal, both sides started well and enjoyed lots of possession but we opened the scoring on 32 minutes when Brophy fired home 1-0,from then on defences ruled and closed the game out,we edged the shot count 3 to 2 but it could of gone either way, well played Marc.

Next we were away at Willy's Forfar Athletic another formidable side who could match anyone on their day,they opted for a 5-4-1 stall as we went for a 5-2-3 normal, game on and both sides enjoying lots of possession but defences on top for the 1st half, 2nd half and they changed tact to longball hoping for a breakthrough but it never came as both defences never gave an inch ,we were outshot 6 to 4 but held on for a point 0-0 final score,well played Willy. 

So a 4 point weekend sees us move up to the dizzy heights of 3rd place

3rd game and up against Daniel's Annan Athletic who top the group, a formidable side who always go well in the cups,they opted for a 5-4-1 normal as we went for a 5-2-3 normal, game on and a really close exciting encounter with both sides enjoying lots of possession but defences on top, we edged the shot count 3 to 2 but it ended goalless 0-0 points shared as defences gave nothing up,well played Daniel. 

Next we played Tapani's Greenock Morton, another tough side who on their day could give anyone a great game,they opted for a 4-3-3 normal as did we ,we started quickly and opened the scoring for 6 minutes when Kenneth drilled home 1-0 and on 8 minutes Brophy fired home 2-0,from then on both defences stood firm as we just edged the shot count 6 to 5 ,well played Tapani.

Lastly we were up against Leon's Devonerale who were not having a good time of it ,having lost all their cup games,they opted for a 4-2-4 early ball as we went for a more defensive 5-2-3 normal, and were resting some key players for our league campaign, both sides started well and enjoyed lots of possession but we opened the scoring on 17 minutes when Law slotted home 0-1and held this lead till half time,2nd half and much of the same as both defences on top but on 90 minutes Efete fired home to seal the game 0-2 as we edged the shot count 5 to 3,well played Leon.

So we top group G winning 4 and drawing 1 ,scoring 7 and conceding 1 amassing 13 points and we look forward to the knock out stage.
