A shaky start to the league season sees East Fife sitting in 11th place in Division 1, a playoff spot, but very much in touch with the teams above us. Still all to play for.
We haven’t lost in last four matches, but that’s not as impressive as it sounds, as we’ve only managed one victory and three draws.
The one win was an impressive display against Annan. We dominated the match, not allowing them a single shot on goal while netting three times ourselves. Kieran Miller, Jack Healy and Alan Trouten were our scorers. Miller is having a prolific season, with eleven goals from his ten appearances – pretty impressive for a midfielder.
A strange fact is that our three wins this season have all come against teams whose names start with the letter ‘A’. Sadly, Ayr, Aberdeen, Airdrie and Alloa are not in the right division for us…
A belated welcome to Mamdou Bah who joined East Fife just over a week ago from Auction 2.
Bah is a seriously well-travelled defender with, it is rumoured, a belle at every ball. Even as a schoolboy he possessed a charm that melted all his teachers, and in his life he has continued to win the heart of every woman who crosses his path. He’s a smooth-talking stud of a man who carries his twelve-string guitar on his back wherever he goes. Originally from Guinea he is likely to feel the cold in Scotland but has already bought himself a small collection of intricate Aran jumpers to keep him warm through the Scottish winter.
