I spoke up about this last year (regarding the mental pressure from alarming blog posts after you make a trade) and will do it once more.
A player is worth what an experienced manager in his right mind wants to pay for him.
Period.
Find another subject to rack up party bonus (WCC or woman's EC) and leave these managers alone. You have no idea maybe, but you are killing the game with the critisizm as quite a few managers (including myself) already stay away from making trades to avoid this kinda BS.
Besides, the trade police are, as I have understood it, a handful of 'apointed' managers that discuss potential oneside deals through inbox or email and will approach the trade making duo in pb. This is not done in public on the blog. For good reasons!
I did this a few times for both Steve and Dave in the past seasons.
Huge financial boost for a div.3 team! I would definitely recommend it to any division 3 side that is not aiming for promotion!
The downside is, when you train up goalies, you will concede quite a few extra goals ;) I missed my promo slot and am now 1 season behind on schedule.
