Unfortunately Ive not been as invested in the game (Im not leaving dont worry). But EST are far behind. We created the rivalry because it ultimately hellped us both enjoy a different aspect of the game, while also being a Spurs / Arsenal rivalry in real life. 
It will always be my number one rivalry in SESL, but I think Im looking for a new candidate to abuse in Division 3 next season... Mr. Campbell you have been warned.

It's 3 seasons of golden gloves and 1 of the young gloves awards I think for Gk Gracie.

Certainly impressive.

However, the Gloves formula heavily favors ALB's style of play - so it's not THIS surprising.

DUM's rather unlikely win at MOT moved them from a relegation playoff spot to money spot #6.

ALB GK Gracie has won golden gloves again.  Certainly 2 years running, but I think the last 3 seasons, or even 4, not sure.

ALB finished bottom of Div 1 bizarrely despite this club legend GK between the sticks.

Love the way CLY sauntered into history by winning the title despite losing the final four matches! A true legend and a wonderful season for Raymond and the Cats.....their first ever I think?

I expected COV to trade in a couple of high EL (low SL) players just to get next 2natches out the way.

CEL looked to have 4 TP excess they will lose at season end as 10 TP max you can hold before 40 TP added.   

It's calculated every minute - based on your total available SL at the start of the game. It will go below 100% if you get an injury because no one will be able to come on as a substitute. But what might happen instead is players not being able to go off so continue playing with an injury. I think this happened relatively recently with an injured player scoring.

Is available SL calculated once at the start of the match, or is it recalculated every minute? As we will finish today's first game with only 7 players having positive EL, but (hopefully) still 11 players on the pitch, could our SL% go above 100?

Nice plan Steve, but I was thinking of Press just to see how close we can get to 90-0.

The sequence generation is quite trivial per se today, either via brute force programming (shuffling with constraints) or even a generative AI.

The bottleneck, though, is the interface to the SOS software. I see no point in Mark wasting his time entering the matches manually to solve this very minor "problem".

If it would be possible to shuffle the teams around (i.e. non-alphabetical) this would solve most issues with minimal effort. DEE e.g. would be quite content to pair with ANYONE but the beloved Hearts.

If this does not work with the current code, let's just play on.

I am pretty sure I can solve this "problem" in a different way.

Holidays oer so getting a chance to post prediction league results.

It's an important round the cup round, there is a pot of 200k and whatever you score keeps on your record. No hiding here. 

I suspect if I had the time to look back that this would be one of the lowest scoring SESL lasts 16 rounds.

I certainly recall instances in the past of teams scoring perfectly. 

Not the case this time around, we had an average of 4.8 which is just slightly above the average score for a normal round. 

We had 4 matches that had winners with 30% of the predictions or less. No one predicted Dumbarton to go through against Cowdenbeath in normal time. Guess I had too many whiskey sours when putting in they orders.

We had 3 winners in the end East Fife, Dundee and Motherwell getting a nice 7 from 9. 67k each for their efforts.

Motherwell clearly having their eyes on Division 1 safety, the vast majority thinking Motherwell would go through. Motherwell were certainly sure that would not be the case. They went against themselves and stuck it down as a banker. Fair play, even keeping their score entry till the end. Well played MOT :-)

So how does that impact the overall table? Looks like we may have a run away leader?? East Fife on a remarkable run of form. Probably not seen such domination since Celtic used to predict perfect scores week after week. 

Motherwell and St. Mirren look like the only team who could lay a glove on them, especially the Buddies as they have a zero score to improve on. But it certainly looks like it's East Fife's to lose.

I never noticed that before. Just looked at some teams at random and amazed to see that. Yes prokotion/relegation will mix things up a bit.

Paul's idea is a good one but I'm not sure how easy to do without errors.

I don't really think that the issue is who you play in the first fixture, so much as that everyone plays clubs in pretty much the same sequence.  

Steve will probably know why this is...I imagine that the software works out the fixtures and the commish assigns dates to each set.  If that is the case, it might be possible to mix things up by scheduling things "out of order" so making match 8 come first, then match 3, then match 13 for example....

ABE ID is number 1 when you hover over their team badge, ALB is 15, while ALO is 19.
Seems slightly more random.

KIL are team ID number 2.  So ABE v KIL would be opening league match (only if those teams in same division ofcourse). 
Bit of a minefiled though.

Currently with 4 to 6 teams being promoted or relegated each season, then alphabet order may change a bit in DIv 1 & 3 every season (like if SRA promoted as STeve mentioned),
while Div 2 will have 8 to 12 different teams each season so likely repeated season to season scheduled fixtures should not be an issue in Div 2 because of this team turnover each season.

As Paul says the teams play based on their alphabetical order. When I was at DEV (3rd at the time) we always played DUM (4th) for the first league game and that only changed when a team got promoted and pushed us to 4th and 5th - after several seasons. Another thing is that ABE, AI and ANN play Home, Away throughout the league schedule. ALO started with two home games, later had two away games (same weekend) and also have another sequence of two home and two away but split over two weeks or either side of the SESL Cup groups. 

Over in TMVL there were two conferences of 8 teams with no promotion/relegation. My team always played the same four teams in the first two weeks, the only difference was switching home/away each season. At the time, three of those four teams were the best in the conference, which was hard fpr a weak team with a coach who didn't know what he was doing, like it was then. I suggested starting in a random point in the sequence. So if we applied this to SESL then instead of it being ABE vs ALB for league match 1 then ALO vs ABE for match 2. ABE vs ALB would be random from 1 to 30. It wouldn't stop the case where everyone throws the game against HEA then tries to beat DEE but at least ALO wouldn't have to play ABE and ALB first every season (looks unlikely next season anyway).

TMVL also had the situation where teams got two home games or two away games the same week, apart from one team in each conference - the same team each season. United also had this problem but "team 1" was just the team showing top of the table before a match was played. I never figured out how "team 1" and the rest were selected.

Al Sellers came back asking if I could devise a schedule where no team had two home games the same weekend. It took me f***king ages. I had to compromise. For instance in SESL we played ABE and CLY the first league weekend. We played them in the same order later (before/after SESL Cup groups) but split over consecutive league weeks. In TMVL the only way I could do it was have the reverse fixtures the same weekend in one instance. So we play Dallas and Arlington week 1, then the same two teams in week 4. We play Pekin and Ames in week 3 but the same two teams are in weeks 9 and 10. The other three teams we play are in a sort of round robin. The main difference is all the teams are randomly assigned to each slot. Next season the first two teams we play probably won't be Dallas and Arlington.  The only other remit was to make sure your team played the other seven in the conference at least once in the first five weeks.

He then asked for a similar thing in United. I got lucky as this didn't seem to take as long despite having 10 teams per division rather than 8. It still has the problem of teams playing the same two at the same time (this time on three occasions), which I'm not happy with but can't work out how to avoid, but again teams are randomly assigned each season.

For SESL it would take a major rewrite of the software I think. The simplest would be to randomly assign the order of teams as shown at the top rather than alphabetically. We'd still get the HEA/DEE or STJ/MOT "problem"which could be changed depending on promotion/relegation if SRA get promoted to change the latter but likely no change if they don't.

Yes, the first team alphabeitcally plays teams in a different sequence but everyone else plays in the same sequence, broken only when the play the first team alphabetically.  It's not ideal but I'm not sure if the commish has any control over this.  And I imagine that mucking around with it could easily result in teams have a run of home or away fixtures.

You've solved the mystery for me below - sorry, it has taken me a bit to look into it. But you mention the scheduling component to facing weaker or stronger lineups...and I've learned that we are always facing teams right after they have played against STJ, just with opposite home/away. So, for example, our last two away matches:

RAN went 54% SL at STJ and then 84% home to MOT

COW went 41% SL at STJ and then 62% home to MOT

Not saying that's unreasonable, I would do the same. But it helps me understand why we've seen so many hard lineups this season. Nobody is going to rest their players two matches in a row. I would take my chances against MOT of the two, as well.

However FAL are only team waiting to submit match 42 lineup, presumably waiting until first match is ran to then check EL's or future suspensions.

This seems needlessly risky.   
Maybe just enter a lineup for game 42 that can be easily edited if there is an opportunity in the one hour between orders?  

MOT aren't the only team hated by the refs. The DEEs are one of the "roughest" teams, while they should be a fair play award contender.
Basically, this is simply due to the extreme volatility of YCs in the game engine.

When I've joined SESL quite recently, I've soon noticed the very high volatility of several events (especially shots and YCs), compared to similar game engines.
The (very likely) reason for this is that the SOS engine uses "pure" (i.e. independent) minute-by-minute resolution - instead of pool mechanics. 
Thus, there is no in game "flattening" mechanism which drives the numbers towards their expected values. 
Thus, the high likeliness of unlikely events.
Not much we can do about it - but steaming.

However, suspensions - unlike e.g. shots and results - are quite managable.
You just forgot to protect Haggard for the cup - and paid a steep price.

After complaining that  betting for SESL  cup was not opened , I get my wish,and its opened . I immediately go and put all my money on a team with 2 major suspensions and no forwards above SL16. I unsurprisingly loose . I think its time that the FRA manager joins a meeting at Gamblers anonymous. Its fair enough to bet but I need to put a bit of thought into it first.

My German Customer has just asked me how I feel about the new England Manager! The answer is simple. He's work-in-progress until he brings home the Cup! Not a good option in my opinion but I'm willing to give him a chance til 2026. England wird gleich Weltmeister sein!
