I do check when manager's teams are up for prediction which way they go. 

But yes I was happy when the rule changed. A couple of years ago Stewart at Rangers was flying high in division one and my Stirling were struggling. I reckon I lost about 5 points in the prediction league that season saying Stirling were going to win whereas Stewart's Rangers won most of their games and the prediction league.
