Neighbours/Rivals - I don't think it's possible or easy to code an impact 

You could just play aggressive yourself Vs a rival and never trade a player with them 

But I usually find I need to prepare for a cup match or I'm low on EL whenever I face Falkirk away 

As for double home/away games I feel Stirling gets a fair few double away league games to start the season.

It's harder to win away games so I don't know if losing/drawing those first 2 games impacts morale much which could impact how well a team starts?

(St Johnstone had a double away league start this season)
