Look at DUU & FRA who the past handful of seasons have been quietly building their rosters.

Active managers tend to give themselves a better chance of competing too.  Winnings from prediction league and end of season awards.  As well at weekly participation money.  Active managers bid more often at auction and may pick up a bargain.  Need be in it to win it.
