At the start of the season our goal was simple: stay clear of relegation and begin rebuilding after a disappointing campaign.
With four matches remaining, we're sitting 8th in Division 2 on 37 points and have almost achieved that objective.
Promotion is out of reach, but so seems the direct relegation battle. That puts us exactly where we hoped to be: stable, competitive and moving in the right direction.
There have been some frustrating results along the way, but we've also shown that we can compete with the better sides on our day. The challenge now is consistency and continuing to develop the younger players in the squad.
Three matches remain against Inverness, Queens Park, Peterhead and Hibernian. A strong finish could see us climb further up the table and provide a solid platform for Season 62.
After last season's disappointment, mid-table security is progress. The rebuild continues.
Up the Vale! 💪⚽
