    About Copernicus Town

Season 45: 25th anniversary of managing CPT. Plenty of money, plenty of spare resources from last season. Time to push on. Buy quality and try get CPT fans excited! Draft was a mixed bag so looking for a redraft of one player.

Season 44: Mid table obsecuirty. Potential for play offs then tailed off. Squad looks OK. Resources OK. Money spent. Redraft a HUGE success. Mid table aim then see what we can achieve.

Season 43: Going for three in a row.....wooden spoons. Draft was OK. Redraft a disaster. Need to train, trade and strenghten. Like last season, 2nd bottom the target. anything is a bonus. No interest in the cups. Just need to focus on league and getting as many points as possible.

Season 42: Awful Season 41!!!!!! Wooden spoon. After wooden spoons in Season 12 and 13, I stoppped the rot. Dreadful season. Dreadful. This season. Rebuild. Aim for second bottom. Anything better is a bonus. Waiting for blind draft and scout newbies see what season brings. Lots of resources. Lots.

Season 41: Stunning early season form winning 4 out 5 in th cup securing a place in the knockout rounds. Squad is a little meh. Not a good draft in terms of coaching. Need to see where we can win some auctions, develop players and win as many matches as possible. Happy for another season at CPT. Limited funds.

Season 40: So clearly money doesnt bring you success as CPT almost collect the wooden spoon. Dreadful season 39 and will resources a plenty for Season 40 CPT should be driving forward. Squad looks ok, though signings and training will be key if we are to avoid another poor season. Maybe time for Legowski to move on. Draft wasn't that kind, average at best.

Season 39- Money, money, money. CPT have money to burn and a very good blind draft. Could this be the year?! The Season for CPT to get promoted?! Who knows but Legowski needs to spend more time, quality time picking his team, managing conditions and winning matches. Players need to be trained. Players need brought in. CPT for DV1. That is the prediction. The goal. The absolute.

Season 38: Well after an almost season its back to the drawing board. Auctions have been dreadfully poor (though no complaint as its one of likeable characters of this game). Squad is ageing and thin. TPs available to trade-off for quality, experienced players. Start to the league season will be key. Need to get wins on the board early doors. Predicting mid-season failure though.....Here we go! .

Season 37 review: ALMOST!!!! Almost top flight for CPT but simply 3/4 games too far in terms of morale, fitness and squad size. Maybe this season.....

Season 37: Preview: Well after another nearly season its time to develop squad, transactions and auctions. Good resources availalbe so maybe this is infact the season for CPT to get into the top flight for the 1st ever time. Time will tell.

Season 36: Well it is traditional to review the previous season. Crap. There you have it. I now have a very decent back line; solid midfield and could do with a couple additions to bolster to the team. Expectations? Well lets just get the cup out the way and see how the youngsters are developing. Long season ahead but I'm hopefullly I might be buidling something decent.

Season 35: Guess what?!!! Poor again....woefully poor. So onto Season 35; couple of very good 0/7's, good aged 2's, GK's to train up, maybe this is the season. Plenty cash and resources and may even use TB's. Definitely not predicting season's expectations. Let's just see what happens. Maybe start CPT's history from Season 35?!!! Lets wait and see.

Season 34: Poor again. Only bonus is large cash preseaons so lots of resources available. Add that to the new additions and CPT should be able to build a strong team with a view to be challenging at the top end of the table. As per usual, early cup competition will be used to train youth including a new GK and two defenders. Could be a long 11/12 weeks.

Season  33: Terrible seaosn 32, again showing an inability to build on a decent squad. Oh well, another meanlingless season ahead unless I can hit the ground running. Awful start to the season in the cup, so again......looks like a long one.

Season 32: Can we build on last season, or was the dizzy top half finish a one off.......draft has been super kind again with Maciag scouting 27, Sajda 32 and Urbanski a whopping 36! Plenty of training in these boys. Need to secure the funds and resources to maximism their potential. Can't wait for the league season to kick off.

Season 31: New season, new hope. Draft has been kind. Lots of potential. Couple squad fillers needed to help manager squad fitness level, resources to help players achieve their potential. Likely mid-table with nothing to play for.

Review- almost a play off spot. Almost. That was CPTs highest league position under my management. So close!

Season 30: A season to forgot last time round, with another bottom 4 finish. Some big hitters in the squad for Season 30 and we really should harvest these, win a couple of solid auction players and push up the table. Time for CPT to start getting some consistency.

S30 review: Season defined by an NMR over one weekend (2 fixtures) which killed CPT's promotion push. Lost interest thereafter and results showed this. Gutted.

Season 29: Wooden spoon here I come :(

    Season27/28:

Clearly they have been seasons to forget as I haven't bothered to update team info. Seems that CPT will always be a bottom divison 2 team :(

    Season 26:

Another poor, poor season. Draft has been kind with the MF and FW allocation. Huge potential. Another mid season looms for CPT.

    Season 25:

A season of if, buts and maybes. The nearest that CPT have come to promotion......play-off defeat is never easy to take. Onto to season 25  and its been a dreadful start as CPT attempt to train a young GK. Expectations?? Top 4 finish. Thats where the the standard lies now....That said....squad looks weak overall. Could be a long one......

January 2016- (Already?!!!) Well what can I say. Another dreadful season. Big pressure on CPT to start developing squad and get the balance right across the team. Poor, poor, poor! Hopefully a better update after this season

October 2015- Disappointing 1st season, littered with NMR's, terrible team selections and dodgy results. Back for a 2nd season as the Copernicus. Youth, youth, youth will lead us to glory.

INT have been rebranded......naming rights sold for £1. Copernicus Town are based in the polish city Toruń. Toruń is one of the oldest cities in Poland. The medieval old town of Toruń is the birthplace of the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus.

In 1997 the medieval part of the city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2007 the Old Town in Toruń was added to the list of Seven Wonders of Poland. National Geographic Polska rated the old town market and the Gothic town hall as one of the "30 Most Beautiful Places in the World." In 2010 Forbes magazine ranked Toruń as number one of the "Polish Cities Attractive for Business". In 2009 it was listed as one of the "Best Cities to Live in Poland", in a ranking published by Przekrój.

Previously it was the capital of the Toruń Voivodeship (1975–98) and the Pomeranian Voivodeship (1921–45). Since 1999, Toruń has been a seat of the self-government of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and, as such, is one of its two capitals (together with Bydgoszcz). The cities and neighboring counties form the Bydgoszcz-Toruń twin city metropolitan area. In September 2004, Bydgoszcz Medical School joined Toruń's Nicolaus Copernicus University as its Collegium Medicum. The current Mayor of Toruń is Mr. Michał Zaleski.

Elana Toruń is a Polish football club based in Toruń. As of the 2010/11 season the team competes in the II Liga, which sits at the 3rd tier of the Polish football league system.

The team was at the 2nd level of the Polish pyramid in the 1990s, but were relegated in 1998/99. During the following season the club changed their name to TKP Torun, but they were relegated again to the 4th level. The club were often referred to as Torunski KP, but by the 2007/08 season they had returned to their original name of Elana Torun and were back playing in the Polish 3rd level

Copernicus Town are Elana Torun. Copernicus Town will not win the wooden spoon!!

    Coach's Bio: Marc Legowski

Season 45: Finally finished up with SFRS. Last day was the 23rd June. 7+ years serving my community as a On-call Firefighter. Primary employment wise all going well. Playing my first over's game of 11's tonight. Looking forward to continue health and fitness improvement. Kids are all good other than the stinking July weather.  Patiently waiting for the new look, new interfaced FM2025 to be released....

Season 44: My 30th Season with CPT previously INT. No trophies to date in SFLSL. Maybe this season? All good with life, family and work. Back on the fitness trail. Life is good.

Season 43: New job is very good....loving it! All good with family. All good health and wellbeing wise. Very happy!

Season 42: Well.... I lied. No stepping back. Infact......starting new role on Monday 24th April as Head of Care. A big step up! Remaining in residential, independent school for children and young people with additional needs. Wife smashing her role. Super proud. Kids amazing. N is the current Under 14 lifesaving champion for Scotland. Couldn't be more proud. L is just a typical 9 year old. Life is good.

Season 41: Step back looks like the viable option from residential childcare. Time has come to move on I think. Look for something new. Not sure what that looks like but with the Social work background and 10+ years management there should be enought doors to chap. Strike action a real possibility with the Fire Service. Worrying times. Kids all doing well, all settled back into routines and appearing to enjoy life.

Season 40- Fulltime work has settled down though I'm looking for a new challenge, the next step. Either a promoted, operations role or a step back. Open to various options with the social care/residentail sector. Recruitment still lies at the root of the issues with covid continuing to feature tot he detrement of children and young peoples planning. Fire service is ongoing. For the 1st time giving serious consideration to stepping aside. Family all good. Everybody doing well.

Season 39- Life is tough. Work is crazy. Both are crazy. Residential childcare has suffered more than most. Staff retention at an all time low and recruitment is non existent. Dreadful times. Family is good. N is competing in his first lifesaving comp in March. Super proud and cant wait to be there and cheering him on. L despite lockdowns and home school gives 100% every day. Family is good. Work is crazy but good. Need to focus some time on SESL and SFLSL. Dropped OASL this season though may go back.......

Season 38- well being a key worker hasnt been fun. On both fronts. Give, give and give a little more. Full time work within Children's Residential is crazy. Crazy busy and then some. Fire Service wise I've had no choice but to drop my availability and be around the little free time I have with the family. Its gotta get easier....hasn't it?! No move additions to the family child or pet wise. Delighted to be back playing 7's on a Monday (though body ain't happy). Looking forward to another season with CPT.

Season 37- COVID sucks! Continue to work full time (key worker) and with fire service. 4 kids, 3 dogs, 2 cats life aint quiet. Need to get some 7-a-side action on the go and it'll be all better. What you say First Minister; time to let the contact sports start again?!!!!!

Season 33- June 2019: Back in SW, juggling full time work, RDS firefighting and family. Mayhem. Only way to describe it. No time for anything else, no playing football, no nothing

Season 34- November 2019- All go. As per usual. Work hectic, back on-call after a fairly serious injury (which needs recontructive surgery) though I should just about manage until NHS has an apppointment. Kids all brill, two youngest excited about Santa. Lists done, now lets see them behave.

Season 35- April 2020: Lockdown! Fortuately (or Un-) I'm a keyworker; manager of a children's residential service and RDS Firefighter for my local town. Kids coping well as is the family in general. Using time to do all the jobs around the house and garden that we wouldn't normally have time for. Strange times.

Season 36- Sept 2020: I write to you from the M6 travel lodge as I'm down here for a weeks training. What fun! Loving my full time job; continuing to manage Children's residential. Fire service wise its been a tough 6 months with ulitmately looks like its coming to an end. Need to balance primary job with family time and as much as I love serving my community I just can't do it all. Family and wife well. All good
