The board has decided that the 50th season calls for a new direction. South African Tyron Barnard has been appointed to lead the team, tasked with restoring its competitive edge and building a side capable of challenging for honours again.

Barnard arrives at a defining moment. The club’s history sets a high standard, but history alone will not win matches. He will need to bring fresh energy, clear ideas and a renewed sense of belief to a team eager to turn promise into results.

South African manager Tyron Barnard has spent 30 seasons at Norman Hunters / Cannons, building a reputation for commitment and staying power in the SFLSL. His time at the club included an SFLSL Cup triumph, giving him firsthand experience of what it takes to bring silverware home.

Three decades at one club have given Barnard a deep understanding of the league, its rivalries and the demands of a long season. Now, for the first time in 30 seasons, he begins a new chapter.
