Season 48 Review - Season 49 Preview
My first season saw us in division 2 and we stayed there fairly middle of the road all season. Team not good enough for promotion so overall a poor season. Finished 9th with a 50% record, and went down in both cups fairly easily. I wasn't left a decent team so tried to get a better balanced one to start this season.
I like our draftees for this season and they will boost every part of the team, once trained, except for the forward line. We need desperately a high SL forward - our UT will likely be playing up front in quite a few games.
Looking forward to this season - promotion? Need to wait and see how the new lads bed in.

Season 49 Update: Getting close to 4 score years - Hogmanay (in case you want to send a card..:-) Health still the biggest thing in my life apart from family of course. Due to get a new hip around July/August to add to the hormone injections I receive - 29th one next Wednesday (just before game 3 in SFLSL) of 32. Settled for Secretary at the AGM of my local Social Club, and just ending another season acting as Match Secretary at the bowling club. Booked up for a French coast cruise, plus 3 short breaks - getting them all in before the new hip. Nobody came back about my age so guessing I must be the oldest, not the best, but probably the most active in Olmec. For now. Was supposed to be looking after FC Blades for 1 season, but will stay for this one too, but no promises after this one.
My partner, Karin, and my daughter Jill, along with her son Adam and their dog Gino, constitute my immediate family. I still, when time permits, watch sports and westerns/war films..I hate woke, cheating lying politicians, cheats in general, and bad manners.
I love reading historical fiction, play poker, computer chess, and involve myself with a computer medieval war game and a couple more soccer online games.
