New Jersey Nutmegs - Well as far as I can tell they are from New Jersey and they like nutmegs , so watch out that ball is going between your legs . . . I reckon !?!
Update from original manager Mr Mike Morton
Read James' bio about the Nutmegs, thought I would shed some light. I was born and raised in NJ, so I figure I would give my home state a club. Nutmegs kind of rolled with NJ and the nutmeg shows dominance/skill, so I liked it.
Found a logo on the internet of a player getting nutmegged. I added the NJ to it and had to color it in. Funny tidbit, not sure if anyone noticed, but the kit of the player getting nutmegged was the Portugese national team. There were a few good portugese friends back in the league and it was after the 2002 World cup where the US beat heavily favored Portugal 3-2, so I was taking a jab at the Portugese.
At the time I first took over the Nutters I was offered the chance to change the team name logo etc , I like history however and could never wipe a team from the league. I prefer to learn about the team and help to grow the lore of a team rather than destroy it and start again . .
Born in Glasgow, Scotland some 35 years ago , still live in East of Glasgow with wife and 3 kids all boys currently 10, 3 and 0.5 years old.
Started playing olmec way back in a now defunct league before moving to SESL in around the 2/3 season. Been there for ever and now slowly spreading to every league it seems...
