    About Bristol Uc-S

           Season 44 update

We had one focus last season, rebuild and reshape the roster so we are able to challenge for the championship in the coming seasons. With that in mind we made sure to not end up with an accidantal promotional playoff spot by dropping some games, as towards the end we came very close to the unwanted playoffs. It would've been at least one season too early for top flight football.

    Expectations:
We have a strong and relatively young team (if we would retire some veterans). With the best T11 and 2nd best T17 it is only natural to aim for the title. But is the team balanced enough for such an achievement?
Still two strong goalkeepers, so there's no excuse to not go for the win in every game. Our Sweeper UNKLE was crowned 'Young Player of the Season' last season, Moloko left the club for The New Saints, but with Lamb we still have one leader left in de last line. Coldcut and Nujabes complement the T11, while apprentices Sault and Morcheeba get enough opportunaties to grow. At midfield we are still one solid MF short, leader DJ Shadow, Laika and Infonetic are instant T11 players, Archive ready to step in from the bench. The departure of Topscorer Mono to Orgullo Athletic is a hard hit, but with Farrel we have a new booster in the hunt for goals. Striker Bonobo and Winger Leo Miller will flank Farrel. Madlib most likely to be our super sub.
Still plenty of time to make small adjustments to the roster before the season kicks off, but with only 55k in the bank it's this bio&team update that needs to bring in some cash to play with ;)

     Season 44 update

Some might know I am a big Ajax fan, and boy....is it a shitty time to be alive right now :( Barely 18 months ago everyone was saying that Ajax will become the Bayern Munich of Holland, but how one scandal (the dickpick from Marc Overmars) can change literally everything. The entire club tumbled down after Overmars' departure. In seasons like this you learn to appreciate the little things.....18y/o Central Defender Jorrel Hato and 22 y/o Centre Forward Brian Brobbey (Lukaku Light). What a talents. And, ofcourse, the upset Ajax caused by signing former Liverpool teamcaptain Jordan Henderson. What a wonderful player that is. I've always had a thing for undervalued defensive midfielders, happy to see him play in Amsterdam every weekend!
Last week I was pleasantly surprised by seeing a solid team against Villa in the conference league, but then only a few days later Ajax completely messed up with should've been an easy home win against Fortuna Sittard (never heard of it eh? exactly!) and were lucky to end up with a point from a 2-2 draw. Only a few days until the return in Birmingham. Against my better knowing I hope for a solid Ajax and maybe even a surprise win....yeah right!
