Review: No idea how we pulled it off, but we did. Finishing 5th in the league, securing another few months in the top division and higher gate receipts. Outstanding performance from our goalie who won quite a few matches for us keeping his goal as clean as possible, while legends Cruijff, Bergkamp and Kluivert scored more goals than Van der Sar conceded.

Expectations:
Expectations are about the same as last season. Although we slightly improved our T11 and now have a younger squad than last year, on paper we don't stand a chance against the regular top flight teams that have at least 2.0 points higher on their T11's. That doesn't mean we will just throw the towel. Just like last season we see chances to cause some upsets here and there and gather enough points to survive another season in the first division. Excellent goalie and a solid defence. Midfield and up front we need some polish, but scout reports state that the youngsters are getting allocated their full worth of training points, which will hopefully give us a slight advantage after mid season aging. Game on!

Season 48 update
Amsterdam is burning, quite literally given what happened yesterday evening; the match against Groningen was suspended after 5 mins of play when the hardcore holigans lit up a couple thousand Euro worth of fireworks and threw it all on the pitch. It still baffles me that 'supporters' like this exist, delibaretally destroying the charm of live football victimizing 50k people in the stadium that just want to see a (terribly boring) 90mins of football (if you can call it that). Ajax is burning and I don't see the fire getting extinguished anytime soon. Jordi Cruijff, who is expected to be appointed as the new Director of Football, won't make a difference :(
