We started the sflsl cup campaign with an away game at Dan's Division 1 Sheffield Rovers,always a quality side and always at the end of any campaign, they opted for a 4-4-2 normal as we went for a 4-2-4 early ball (something we are trying out this season)game on and we started quickly and opened the scoring in the 1st minute when Williams headed home 0-1,defences then took hold till half time,2nd half subs on and nothing between the two sides,as all attacks were canceled out before they could develop, but on 64 minutes some slick passing saw Epic Stan Lee fire home 1-1,but we kept pushing and on 68 minutes Scotch Corner on his debut cut in from the wing and rifled home his shot 1-2,defences then took control again and closed the game out ,an even game of 3 shots each,well played Dan.

Next we travelled to Willy's Montevideo, always a tricky place to play at as they are very skilled in both defensive tactics and offensive tactics,both teams opted for a 4-2-4 early ball, both teams started well and enjoyed lots of possession, 15 minutes and Uchebelan brought down Gomez in the box and the ref pointed to the spot,Gomez picked himself up and duly drilled home his spot kick 1-0,half time soon came and subs on,2nd half defences on top then on 56 minutes Montevideo down to 10 men as Andretta saw red for a blatant hand ball,so was this our chance ,or would they pull together and fight harder,we kept pushing and on 71 minutes Corness was there to tap home the loose ball as the defence failed to clear 1-1,defences then took control again as it ended all square,we were outplayed for periods and outshot 10 to 4 but Thompson in our goal was in outstanding with 8 saves,well played Willy.

So 2 games in and 4 points from 2 away games we are well pleased as we top our group but there are still 4 games to go.
