Ye Olde Spurs finished the season with two difficult relegation games but came away from these matches with maximum points to finish ninth. We started with an away trip to play FC Blades. After thirty minutes it wasn't looking good as we went one behind. We got on level terms just before halftime though Bale and never looked back. Two more second half goals by Porro and Gil, winning the game three one. It left us safe going into the final game at home against New Jersey Nutmegs. By 52 minutes it was looking straightforward with us two nil up. We then conceded on 57 minutes, went three one ahead on 81 minutes but conceded again late on with three minutes left. We hung on to win three two, making it three victories on the bounce.
Ye Olde Spurs started last weekend's games with a tough away match at third placed Golden Dragons. We accepted our fate and played stall to try to limit the damage. It didn't quite work and we got beat four nil. The second game was at home against Bijker Boys, ninth versus tenth. We played a strong lineup and overpowered the opponents winning four nil and swapped places with the Boys moving up to ninth. Two matches left to play against two other teams struggling against relegation.
