Season 27 update
Its a weak CHA side that start season 27 - much as it was for season 26. We are very much in a rebuild after a dreadful season where we picked up only 7 points. Ouch. Combined with the previous seasons relegation from division one we have won 4 games of the last 44. Last season we suffered badly due to the lack of a quality goalkeeper and a poor defence. This season we are confident we can perform much better, albeit we still have work to do to avoid finishing bottom.
We have just promoted 4 youths from DIS in the shape of a GK, a DM and 2 WG so plenty of EC expected this season. With 3 decent age 2 players we have a solid base to rebuild this squad. Anything not bottom will be a success while a cup run would be nice.
Season 26 update
An interesting few seasons for CHA since the last update. Following the playoff defeat in season 22 we started season 23 will hopes of promotion but with many teams of similar skill around us. We matched our points tally of season 22 but finished 2 places higher to go back to the top flight as champions. Combined with a decent cup run, and our youths DIS winning division 3, it was a great season all round for CHA. Our run in the top flight though ended as it has previously - a relatively comfortable mid table finish the first season, followed by a relegation. We just cant sustain a swquad that can stay in that division. This season we have a very weak squad compared to the rest of division 2 so a rebuild is required. I expect it will be 2-3 seasons beore we are ready to challenge at the top again.
We have a oouple of excellent young MAs to continue our strong run in that position but with weak GK position, and MF we need some new blood over the next season or so. Watch this space ....

Season 23 update
Season 22 was oh so close to being a great season. We began with limited expectations but hoping to continue to develop the squad capable of challenging for promotion in coming seasons. A great run in the second half of the season left us on the brink and needing only a point from the final game. Unfortauntely outr trip to the eventual champions MInnesota ended in defeat as did the playoff match. So another season in Division 2 beckons and it looks a tough one with any one of about 7 clubs probably fancying they have a real shot at promotion.
The star of the last few seasons Lynch Pin is aging but can still play a part as captain. We have a couple of excellent MAs who will be the focal point of the attack all season. With 5 decent youngsters as well, we are confident of another good showing.
Season 21 update
We begin the season with a good squad and high hopes of promotion back to the top flight. A pair of MAs in Lynch Pin 3/28 and Conrad Jones 1/19 look to be key this season in creating and scoring the goals.
With good players in all positions, it could be a fun season. Since winning the title 6 seasons again we haven't achieved much of note but we've developed the squad nicely. A cup run would be nice too.
Season 20 was all about rebuilding. An 8th place finish in the circumstances was ok but we were badly lacking in goals.
Season 27 update
Still working from home as Im sure many of us are - and it looks like its here to stay which Im all for!
The feel good factor for Kilmarnock FC did not last as we cycled through managers and found ourself playing outside of Scotlands top flight for the first time since 1993! Rebuild signs are promising though with a large personnel change over the summer. Hopefully a successful and title winning season coming up!
Season 26 update
So as indicated in the season 23 update, redundancy did indeed happen. With that coming a few weeks before the wedding I hopped around some temp jobs for a few months before I secured my current role working for a major bank. Have been working from home since March due to COVID in quite a major lifestyle change but Im enjoying the lack of commuting! Looks like work from home might be here to stay for a while.
The wedding went perfectly and we are approaching 18 months married now. Life is good.

Season 23 update
On the job front life is in the balance as redundancy might be looming. Time will tell.
The wedding is 2 months away (exactly 2 months as I write!) and preparations are just about finalised.
Looking forward to some European adventures next season with Kilmarnock FC. Sadly it will be without our leader Sir Stevie Clarke but the Killie faithful are confident we can push on and have more success in the coming season!
Season 21 update
I've moved jobs again - back to my old role after 6 months seconded elsewhere so a few aspects to relearn.
Living in Glasgow with Kirsti and planning our wedding so it promises to be an exciting few months.
Real life football has been an exciting one this season for the first time in many years as Stevie Clarke has turned Kilmarnock around and given us an amazing season.
