    Team Needs

Tactics will be our Achilles heel as we try and stay in division 1,and we have to use squad rotation wisely.

    Season 34

Now Austin FC and starting out in division 2.

We bring in DM Sebastian Driussi, and WG Jhojan Valencia and WG Daniel Pereria ,hopefully we can start playing free flowing early ball tactics again which brought some success in previous seasons.Kenneth Vermeer will Captain the side this season. We start with a T11 of 23.6(5th in division) and a T17 of 21.1(3rd in division) so another tough season ahead. We needed to strengthen up the defence and we brought in SW Guilherme Biro, DF Julio Cascante,DF Oleksandr Svatok and DF Jon Gallagher and are happy that we did as it is a solid squad now.

    Well we finished 2nd and are promoted to division 1,we played 21 winning 10,drawing 6,losing 5,scoring 29 conceding 17 amassing 36 points.We finished with a T11 of 27.1(joint 7th in division) and a T17 of 25(1st in division)

    Season 35

We bring in GK Brad Stuver,DM Cavon Sullivan and WG Markus Anderson  from our feeder side San Antonio Spurs. We start the season with a T11 of 23.4(6th in division) and a T17 of 21.5(joint 4th in division).Nikola Vlasic will Captain the side this season. Two early transfers as we went to Granada FC of Spain and purchased Albanian UT Myrto Uzani  and Dutch DF Nicolas Van Rijn ,hopefully they will settle in quickly and show their full potential. We also said goodbye to experienced GK Kenneth Vermeer who went to CAR as their 2nd goalkeeper.

We finished the season with a T11 of 27.7(5th in division) and a T17 of 24.6(2nd in division) .We had 2 good cup runs this season as we won the Alan Sellers cup beating DC Utd 3-1 in the final and got to the quarter finals in the Dowson Shield  where we went out to INT 2-3.

Well we have gone and won division 1,winning 13 ,drawing 3,losing 5,scoring 51,conceding 27 amassing 42 points. Most matches played was 18 by Mokhayana/Driussi/Vlasic/Perriera/Uzani, most minutes 1395 by Svatok, bad boy with 24 DP's Anderson, top goalscorer Uzani with 11 goals and MOM's with 5 Torres/Trent.

Football in Texas is well and truly now on the map

    Season 36 updates

We bring in SD  Antonio Gomez  and DF Ilie Sanchez and FW Brandon Vasquez and FW Besard Sabovic from our feeder team  San Antonio. We start the season with a T11 of 23.7(7th in division) and a T17 of 21.6(5th in division) so a tough season ahead and tactics will be all important,as will squad rotation. Holden Trent will Captain the side this season. With a change in our tactics we have brought in experienced Serbian DM Jovan Lukic, who should settle in quickly and be a great addition to the squad. We have brought in experienced FW A Purdy from POR to bolster our frontline for the 2nd half of the season.

    Coach's Bio: Rob Lye

    Updated September 2025

born and bred in Bridgwater,Somerset, now living in Oswestry,Shropshire with my other half Sharon and my two daughters Alix and Beth. Been a lifelong Bristol Rovers fan watching them many times as one of the Gasheads, also support and watch The New Saints who are based in Oswestry about a mile from home and play in the  welsh premier league and  set a new european record for successive wins taking the record off Ajax.Poor start this season and it's going to be a hard season as other Welsh teams seem to have finally caught up with us ,but we get through and win the domestic treble.Other pastimes when not supporting the saints are sea fishing and spending time with the family in north wales on the coast, and drinking proper cider (west country folk will know what i mean)

Currently managing The New Saints  in the sflsl division 1 after promotion last season, now managing Ross County in the 3rd division after relegation last season ,and finally San Antonio Spurs  in the 4th division of the OASL which is Austin FC 's feeder team ,update San Antonio relegated to division 4  and 3 good trainees come out of it and hopefully a better season ahead  ,Philadelphia Union now rebranded as Austin FC.Update Austin finish runners up in division two and are promoted to division 1.This season they have only gone and won division 1.

love these leagues and the characters you meet along the way, hopefully can justify my place at Austin in the coming seasons
