Twenty-one managers entered the fifth round of the Prediction League and achieved an astonishingly high average score of 7.14. The only result that was really against expectations was St Mirren's win at Dumbarton, but even this was predicted by five entrants.
After what may be a record easy round, seven managers shared the 100k prize with eight points, so it's 15k each for Arbroath, East Stirlingshire, Forfar, Hamilton, Motherwell, Stenhousemuir and Stranraer.
As we hit the halfway mark, Stirling's lead is cut to one point. We take a break now and the competition will resume on 12th September. I'll post here when the entry for is up on the Notebook.
